MATT + CARLYN
An Intimate Ceremony, an 100 Year Old House with Rich Heritage + a Backyard Reception
Matt + Carlyn’s intimate wedding was all kinds of unique + perfect. They started the day by getting ready in the house that has been in Carlyn’s family for 100 years. This is the same house she + her cousins grew up visiting ever summer since she was a kid. They had their first look right outside the house with some cousins sneakily watching them from the front porch + window. The ceremony was held right in the front yard with the beautiful house as the backdrop + all their close friends + family surrounding them. Carlyn’s grandma sat up on the front porch overlooking the whole thing while she drank her iced tea! It was so beautiful + special. After the ceremony Carlyn + Matt ran off into the woods to go spend some time alone at the pond that they would swim as kids. I followed them back + captured some sweet first moments of them as husband + wife. It then started pouring down rain on us + we quickly ran through the woods back to the house. Carlyn + Matt changed into some dry + comfier clothes as their wedding attire dried. You can see Matt sporting a bright green sweatshirt, some swim trunks + his fish flops while Carlyn rocked a backwards baseball cap! They entered the reception + joined their family + friends for a delicious dinner + some hearty music by a local band. They finished up the night by cutting their amazing cake with their grandpa’s sword! All in all it was beyond perfect + so uniquely them.
Congrats Mr. Matthew Porter Cleer + Mrs. Carlyn Cleer Porter!
